Over the last decade I've lived in a progression of different vehicles. This time I wanted to build the ultimate overlander for Season Three of the Tiny Home Adventure. We set off to build the expedition vehicle of my dreams from the ground up with a $30,000 budget. We documented every aspect of the build, from the design process to all the hardships along the way. To be honest, this was one of the most challenging projects of my entire life, but the final product exceeded my wildest dreams! I want to share with you how we made it happen!

On this episode we finished the box, created Shou Sugi Ban out of pine tongue and groove, we visited Vorsheer who fabricated our water tanks, we installed wood firs for the ceiling for the Shou Sugi Ban, we insulated and wired for lights, we realized me made a big design error, my father came back out to help and we dove into some personal history, we fabricated our mounting knuckles for the truck and camper, we built our back cabinet, and the subfloor goes in! Building this overlander from the ground up has proven to be far more difficult than I expected and taken a lot more time, but that's DIY for you.
