With the water pump housing removed, it’s a fairly simple job to replace the O-ring and seals. We’ll get the O-ring swapped out and then get the new seals in place. A note here: Yamaha makes a special tool that helps you get the oil seals to the correct depth inside the water pump housing. We’ll just use a conventional press and use the existing corrosion on the housing to tell us the depth to press in the seals.
