Huon sabres a bottle of Champagne!
Before you start:
- Chill the bottle of sparkling in the freezer first (or fridge temperature and stick the neck in ice)
- Get a special Champagne saber (blunt on both edges; other objects can be used but not recommended)
- Prepare a synthetic bag that can withstand an explosion
- Put on eye protection
- Find a spot with plenty of free space
Quick steps:
1. Make sure the bottle is well chilled.
2. Undo the basket and move the bottom wire to the top lip of the bottle neck then tighten the wire again.
3. Find the seam on the bottle, hold the bottle with the seam up.
4. Hold the bottle away from yourself and others at the 45 degree angle.
5. Slide the sabre along the seam.
6. Not much force or pressure is needed to swing the sabre.
