Nicole Kassel was chosen as an Alfred P. Sloan Fellow in 2013 for her screenplay "Prodigal Summer." Co-written with Barbara Kingsolver (adapted from her novel). Here, Kassel explains how the Sloan award is supporting her film and how science touches it in obvious and not-so-obvious ways.
