This is the Hoddle Street (Illawarra Hwy) level crossing at Robertson, which is located on the branch line between Moss Vale and Unanderra. These gated signals were installed on September 22, 1996 and replaced the original gate-less signals which dated back to 1965.
Both signals have unmarked bases, Western Cullen Hayes gate mechanisms, Alstom LED lights (mounted on WRRS junction boxes) and Western Cullen Hayes mechanical bells. The bell on the eastern signal rings from start up until the gates have lowered, while the bell on the western signal rings until the gates rise.
The crossing also has advance warning signals for both directions, each consisting of a pair of flashing yellow Aldridge LED lights. The passive pedestrian crossing was installed here in 2012.
