Université Paris-Saclay, France's top university, has placed its relationships with companies at the heart of its strategy, promoting entrepreneurship within its academic community and facilitating technology transfer. The ecosystem has led to the creation of the Université Paris-Saclay innovation cluster (PUI - Pôle universitaire d'innovation).
In July 2023, the university was awarded the PUI label as part of the government’s France 2030 investment plan, bringing together thirteen major players from the area’s innovation ecosystem and fifteen partners. The strategic objective of the Université Paris-Saclay innovation cluster, with its remarkable local assets in terms of academic excellence and start-up creation (more than 50 companies created per year), socio-economic network (large corporate groups, SMEs, start-ups, local authorities, associations...) and international recognition, is to develop and strengthen innovation that tackles current and future societal challenges and encourages human progress.
