Join Mama as she reads aloud a wonderful book called "The Perfect Fit" by Naomi Jones and James Jones. This book tackles a very important subject that we have all probably faced and one that will be very helpful to discuss with our children early on. That subject is diversity and being different. In the story, we follow Triangle, who spends time with many different types of shapes, but doesn't feel like she fits in. She longs to be with her own kind. She eventually finds out that while being with shapes that are the same as her is fun, all of the different shapes have things they can learn and contribute to each other. Will all of the other shapes agree with her determination in the end? I'll let you find out in this read aloud.

This is a book that your kids will love from babies to toddlers and beyond. You can start off by pointing out the colors and shapes to a baby and then progress to reading the full story as they get older. You could also even strew this with a fun activity (think something like magna tiles or blocks) for a toddler to get them even more immersed in their play. So, as you can imagine this book will last your child quite a while! Also, the pictures are beautiful and a lot of fun. They really add so much to the story and make it that much better.

This video features Mama reading the book in person so that kids can get the added value of seeing a human mouth form the words along with showing how to do a few common signs. Reading in this way is the best for babies and toddlers as they need to see a human mouth saying the words rather than just hearing the story on its own.
