This is the actual galvanizing process in action once the steel has been cleaned and prepared. The steel is immersed slowly into the tank of hot, molten zinc which has been heated to a temperature of around 450°C. The steel stays in the tank for between 5 and 15 minutes, during which time the zinc-iron alloy layers are being formed. As the steel is then slowly lifted out of the tank, a layer of pure zinc is being formed on the top of the steel. For more information please contact Galvanizers Association [ Ссылка ]
