Lured by a fake investment app promising huge returns, 75-year-old retired ship Captain Zhakshis Kosa Wadia lost ₹11.16 crore in one of Mumbai’s largest cyber scams. The app showed soaring profits until a suspicious tax demand revealed the fraud. Police are now tracking the money trail across 22 accounts linked to the scam.
