Sambhal Violence Updates LIVE | Samajwadi Party Delegation Barred From Sambhal, Police Deployed
A 15-member delegation from the Samajwadi Party has been prevented from visiting Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh. The leaders, including Mata Prasad Pandey, the leader of the opposition in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, are being confined to their homes. Heavy police deployment has been reported outside Pandey's residence in Lucknow. The District Magistrate of Sambhal has imposed prohibitory orders, banning gatherings of more than five people and prohibiting any processions or demonstrations. The situation in Sambhal is reportedly volatile.
