This song came into existence at the end of a time of reckless abandon, of excess and of heartbreak and breaking. It was a waving goodbye, a salute to the person I had been, while beginning the metamorphosis into the person I want to become. But also recognizing I cannot evolve without experience. "I can't leave it behind, if I've never really know."
