Howdy guys and gals, this video explains how we apply a new stucco color coat finish over an existing stucco color coat finish.
This is for your information, as it appears difficult, only because of many necessary steps.
The home owner removed a window in the middle of a finished integrated color coat wall, I informed them we could repair the area then apply a coat over the patch but that the color patch would not blend in even if we used the same color, as it was years later.
La Habra colored cement plaster finishes don't work this way.
No one can blend a patch within a wall with mixed color.

The homeowners informed me they wanted it to look right, without the patching showing where the new window was recently installed.
I explained, we had to color the patch first, then allow it to dry.
next, it would be necessary to resurface the entire wall to blend the color finish incorrectly, otherwise, we would get ghosting or bleedeing, this means the color and texture would be evident in that area if the proper steps were not taken.
