What are the best chemical peels for SKIN DISCOLORATION, HYPERPIGMENTATION, and MELASMA?

1️⃣ ALPHA HYDROXY ACIDS (AHAs): These include glycolic, lactic, and mandelic acids.

👉GLYCOLIC ACID

This is the most popular type of peel used for normal or combination skin. Glycolic acid treats a wide variety of problems. Of the AHAs, glycolic acid consists of the smallest molecules, so it penetrates the deepest, but it also has the greatest chance of irritation. It is well-tolerated, however, if used on normal or combination skin.

2️⃣ BETA HYDROXY ACIDS (BHAs):

BHAs are great for oily or acne-prone skin. Salicylic acid is the only type of BHA used in skincare. So, when you see “salicylic acid,” you know that it is a BHA.

Does that mean you can only use it if you have oily skin? NO! Some of the best anti-aging ingredients were intended to treat acne.
