Tour Scotland early Winter travel video of a road trip drive, with Scottish music, into and onto the cobbled streets of South Queensferry to visit the Forth Railway Bridge from Hawes Pier. The Forth Bridge is a cantilever railway bridge across the Firth of Forth in the east of Scotland, 9 miles west of Edinburgh City Centre. It is considered an iconic structure and a symbol of Scotland, having been voted Scotland's greatest man made wonder, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Firth of Forth is the estuary or firth of Scotland's River Forth, where it flows into the North Sea, between Fife to the north and Lothian to the south. It was known as Bodotria in Roman times. South Queensferry is 35.3 miles from Perth, Perthshire. Hawes Pier lies almost directly below the Forth Rail Bridge and directly opposite the Hawes Inn. Ferries used to ply from here across to North Queensferry and pleasure boats still use the pier for day and evening cruises.
