Walter Hussey and his art collection played a critical role in the founding of Pallant House Gallery.
In this episode we're examining the stained glass window Marc Chagall created for Chichester Cathedral. This was the final work of modern British art that Hussey commissioned during his time as Dean.
Hussey also amassed a large collection of drawings, from renaissance sketches to 19th century Ballet costume designs. Many of these are displayed in our Print Room exhibition Old Masters, Modern Masters: Drawings from the Hussey Bequest.
The exhibition is free to visit until 10 April 2022.
