Lil’ Abner cartoonist, Al Capp debated with comic book censorship advocate, Fredric Wertham on The Author Meets the Critics for their Oct. 10 1948 episode. Al Capp uses various arguments to dismantle Wertham’s pro-censorship stance five and a half years before Seduction of the Innocent (1954).
