"The poor peasant" is a Chassidic (Hasidic) story about a poor peasant, who was so poor that he went in his despair to a wise rabbi. The Rabbi changed the view and view point of the peasant on his life in a very unconventional way.

This Jewish tale describes in a very short story an essential wisdom for life.

Chassidism (Hasidism) is one of the most important mystical Jewish movements. It appeared in the middle of the eighteenth century in Poland. It began with Rabbi Israel Ben Elisier Baal-Shem Tov as well known as “the Besht”.
