After 100 Years: The Astonishing Find Of Andrew Irvine On Mt Everest
In this episode, we take a look at the recent discovery of the partial remains found of Andrew Sandy Irvine on Mt. Everest by a national geographic team led by Jimmy Chin. We also go over the 1924 Mt Everest Expedition. We look into what led up to the climb as well as the climb itself. George Mallory & Andrew Irvine lost their lives on the 3rd summit attempt of the trip. There were mishaps as well as porters that walked off the job. It was not the 1st death on the mountain, but it was one of the most famous. Mallory's body was found in 1999 after an ice axe was found in 1933, and a Chinese climber claimed to have found a body of a dead British climber in 1975. The exact location was not given for Andrews remains, but more will be released in the future.
