Between 15-20 episodes of thundersnow occured in an intense lake effect snow event south of Buffalo on December 11th-12th. 42" of snowfall were received in the hardest hit areas in the Buffalo Southtowns. Hamburg, Ede, Derby, and Orchard Park were the hardest hit from this event.
