Databases are kept secure ensuring proper grants to users with respect to their roles. To access the databases, passwords of users are set. However, they can be changed easily by database administrators.
In this tutorial we will see how we can change mysql password.
Step 1- Accessing php my admin
To change mysql user password, first of all, open the localhost panel on the browser.
Click on the Php My Admin option under the tools section.
Step 2- Editing User Privileges
With the PHP My Admin opened up, click on the Users tab on top.
All the users would appear in the list. Over here, choose the one whose password has to be changed and click on the Edit Privileges option against that.
Step 3-Changing the Password
Another page will open up from where we can change mysql user password. Scroll down and write the new password under the "Change Password" section.
Once done, click on the Go button and that's it. The new password will now be updated.
