Loch Leven is a freshwater loch located to the east of the burgh of Kinross in Perth and Kinross council area, central Scotland.0 The loch is about 6 km at its longest and was considerably larger before the canalisation of the River Leven and the partial draining of the loch in 1826–36. The Loch Leven National Nature Reserve is renowned for the number of wildfowl that live there and it's home to more breeding ducks than anywhere else in Europe.
