Sander bought 5 machines (Bosch GST 140 CE, Festool CARVEX PS420 EBQ-Plus, Mafell P1cc, Makita 4351CTK & Protool JSP 120 E), and we tested them!
During our test some disturbing facts that came to light.
First and foremost, the new Festool CARVEX PS420 EBQ is NOT as good as the old Festool PS300. The PS420 EBQ did not cut as well as the other machines and it almost caught fire doing so.. It came last.
The Protool JSP 120 E is almost the same as the old Festool PS300. It's a good, solid machine (came in second).
The machine that was the best in our test was the Mafell P1cc.

In this test we were trying to cut a 10cm piece of wood, using new Mafell W3 blades ([ Ссылка ]).
All machines were used as prescribed by their manufacturers and nothing in these tests is manipulated! All machines are brand new, we are NOT applying to much pressure, NOT using dull knives, etc..
The saw guidance claws of the PS420 were carefully and consciously adjusted to the width of the saw blade used, all in accordance with the manual: just a little clearance was provided between the claws and the saw, the blade could move freely - at the start of the cut at least...
