DIY/MYOG SERIES WITH RDB is a tribute series to Hiram Cook adding to his convos on bush stoves, testing with some science and real life application tests of stove designs that tickle my fancy, with some more MYOG or DIY gear for your Bushcraft or Backcountry kit./
What we have here is a rough cut down and dirty video of a DIY Trangia stove that is solid fuel and Meths burner.
I have not really seen this design before so I wanted a combo of an Evernew Ti meths burner, a Trangia and a Fancy feast stove with the in built pot stand.
It is a rough working prototype until i can figure out th kinks, but it works capably with both solid and liquid purple Meths.
Very unusual design.
I like the designs sets and features of the mentioned 3 stoves which this DIY Trangia is built off but wanted something i can use as a dual fuel, so solid fuel as well as Meths whilst on the fly that was compact to fit in my Toaks UL 550ML Solid Fuel Cookset.
This is mainly used for Trail Running but I will be using this as an alternative to a compact system when unable to have a open fire.
