Russia’s Anti-Terrorist Committee has said that Ukraine had attacked the Crimean bridge last night using unmanned drones. It said that that Ukrainian “special services” were responsible for the attack on the vital bridge that links Russia and Crimea, with the help of the US and UK. It has also confirmed that it is opening a criminal investigation into this incident that seems like sabotage. The Crimea Bridge, a key supply line for Russian troops in Ukraine, was reported to be damaged in an “emergency” situation which killed two people and injured a child, Russian officials said today. Traffic was stopped from using the Russian-built bridge linking Russia to Crimea, which Moscow seized in 2014. The traffic has since been opened for vehicular movements. The nearly 12-mile bridge, also known as the Kerch Bridge, is the longest in Europe and carries both road and rail traffic. Last October too, a huge blast had partially damaged the bridge, causing parts of it to collapse.
