A suspect was in custody after leading police on a high-speed pursuit through Southern California. During the chase, the suspect is accused of carjacking three vehicles: a minivan, a BMW sedan and a work van.
The suspect then ditched the van, made a run for it, and carjacked a second vehicle at a gas station. A short time later, the suspect made a third vehicle swap and carjacked a van at a gas station.
The pursuit finally came to an end after the suspect exited and attempted to re-enter the freeway, that's where the highway patrol officers successfully completed a PIT maneuver, crashing into and trapping the stolen van.
