I recently did a video where I compared the preamp of the BOSS CE-1 to five different boost pedals. It was a fun experiment but none of the boosters was a clear winner. A lot of you wanted to see if one of the CE-1 clones out there would sound and feel closer to an original BOSS CE-1.

Thanks to Will from Triungulo Lab I was able to compare my vintage BOSS CE-1 to the Triungulo Lab CE-1 Ensemble Crunch. This pedal is basically the preamp section of the CE-1 in a pedal. It's a pedal that you can leave on all the time to get that crunchy clean tone.
