In today’s tutorial, I’m going to show you how to make Google Chrome your default browser in Windows 10.

Typically when you first install Windows 10, Microsoft Edge will be set as the default browser, and even after installing Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge will most likely still be your default browser.

*To change your default browser to Google Chrome:*
1. Go into the Windows start bar.
2. Type in “Default Browser”.
3. Click on the “Choose a default web browser” option in the search results.
4. The default apps application window will now display.
5. From here we can click on the “Web browser” section where Microsoft Edge is displayed, and select Google Chrome.
6. Now your computer will use Google Chrome by default when running a web browser.

*What is a default web browser?*
In Windows, the default web browser is the internet browser that is set to open when you click on a hyperlink in another application or when you open a web page. Microsoft Windows does not come with a built-in web browser, so users can choose their preferred browser and set it as the default.

*Common web browsers used on Windows include:*

*Microsoft Edge:* This is the default browser that comes pre-installed with Windows 10 and later versions. Microsoft Edge is developed by Microsoft and is a successor to the older Internet Explorer.
