The recently installed Congress government in Karnataka has revoked the provisional appointment of Nutan Kumari, the wife of the deceased BJP activist Praveen Kumar Nettaru, from government services in Dakshina Kannada district. Nutan Kumari had been offered a contract-based Group C position in the office of former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
