My new FAVOURITE road. I've wanted to drive this epic road in rural Kanchanaburi for such a long time. It goes up and over a mountain and straight through a couple of national parks. We started in tiger country - Chaloem Rattanakosin National Park - and we were attempting to catch the last car ferry over Srinakarin Lake, having already hiked up and down a waterfall that day. If we missed the ferry, we would have to run the gauntlet, so to speak, because that stretch of road is not used at all overnight because it is taken over by elephants after sunset, Did we make the ferry to one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Thailand or did we have to run the elephant gauntlet?
Let's find out!
I'm not sure where we stayed.... somewhere not too far from Erawan I think.... as we had to head further West the next day.
