Make breakfast merry this holiday season with these Eggnog and Gingerbread Checkerboard Waffles made in the Dash No-Drip Waffle Maker. Or, you can skip the checkerboard and just choose one (don't worry, we won't tell)!
Eggnog Waffles
Ingredients:
1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 tbsp granulated sugar
¾ tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp ground nutmeg
2 large eggs
1 ½ cups eggnog
6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
Directions:
1. Mix together dry ingredients then add wet ingredients. Stir until just combined.
2. Preheat Dash No-Drip Waffle Maker. Pour ⅓ cup batter in checkerboard pattern into each quadrant.
Gingerbread Waffles
Ingredients:
1 1/3 cups milk, warmed to room temperature
3 tbsp melted butter
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1 large egg
1 3/4 cups (290g) all-purpose flour
1 tbsp ground ginger
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
1/8 tsp ground cloves
Directions:
1. Mix together dry ingredients then add wet ingredients. Stir until just combined.
2. Preheat Dash No-Drip Waffle Maker. Pour ⅓ cup batter in checkerboard pattern into each quadrant.
