The In Pinn is an impressive rock feature which sits on top of munro Sgùrr Dearg [986m] located in The Black Cuillin mountains on Isle of Skye in Scotland. It is the only munro where rock climbing is necessary to reach the top.
Cammy has been going to the mountains all his life. Years ago he inspired with this passion his friend Lee who organized this climbing trip for Cammy at the exact day of Cammy's 60th birthday! It was also the last munro top [number 282] for Cammy which made the whole trip even more special!! Lee was originally thinking to hire a mountain guide but then decided to ask me to help in order to climb the mountain in more relaxed, less official and friendly way. That was the idea anyway.
The table for the party in Sligachan hotel was booked. Weather forecast was far from ideal but we decided to go for it and try our best.. The movie shows how it is to climb the In Pinn for munroist. Cammy who normally doesn't enjoy being filmed gradually got more excited and even emotional as we were climbing and I felt priviliged to be there and watch both of them happy enjoying themselves..
