Baitcasters are a very popular fishing reel for a very good reason, they can be used with deadly accuracy when casting expensive lures into tight cover. Of course this all comes with practice and getting an 'educated thumb'. It all starts however with some basic understanding of how your baitcast reels works, setting and fine tuning the bells and whistles on the reel, and understanding how to apply pressure with your thumb.
