This week is different because this week we have a story from the YouTellYours teacher, Lynn Ferguson. Storytelling is all about sharing your perspective, and so it probably shouldn't be a surprise that Lynn's story is about perspective.
Lynn's Bio: Lynn Ferguson is an award winning writer-performer and a regular storyteller/ host for The Moth. Back in the UK, aside from being the voice of a chicken in the movie Chicken Run, Lynn appeared regularly on TV and BBC Radio 4, writing and starring in three series of her own sitcom as well as creating several critically acclaimed plays. She performed in numerous Edinburgh Fringe Festivals, winning the prestigious Fringe First Award for writing, and the Stage Award for Acting Excellence. Since relocating to the US, Lynn has worked as a staff writer for the CBS Peabody Award winning Late Late Show and as a script consultant for Pixar’s Academy Award winning movie, Brave.
YouTellYours.com was started by Lynn Ferguson after becoming embroiled in the storytelling community in Los Angeles. Lynn firmly believed that we all have stories to tell and so started teaching storytelling in Burbank. Since then we've confirmed that no only does everyone have a story to tell, but also that telling those stories enriches both the teller and the audience, creating connections and a sense of community.
Our storytelling classes are available in Burbank, California with end of class storytelling events most months.
We also deliver online storytelling courses with direct feedback incorporated into the experience.
