This dissolve the cataractous lens and removes the lens through the same opening. The technology is so advanced that technique is required to remove or to inserts the probe into the eye and dissolve the cataract is about 1, 8 to 2.2 mm only, that is less than the size of a pen tip. It is also known as the keyhole surgery. The PHACO probe when it enters the eye, it is surrounded by a fluid, the fluid continuously surrounds the Phacoemulsification tip or the probe, so it cools it , at the same time the machine dissoslves it and sucks it out , because the sucking out the fluid has to be replaces the fluid that surrounds it.
