The Australian’s Washington Correspondent Adam Creighton says there is a “strong correlation” relating to what happens with interest rates in the United States and Australia.
Mr Creighton said both the US and Australia followed a similar response to the pandemic, especially relating to economic management.
“I think in Australia inflation is going to rise, just as it has in the US – and the Reserve Bank is going to have to follow what the Federal Reserve is doing," he told Sky News Australia.
