Geena Davis was in Washington DC this week, hosting a symposium on behalf of her foundation, the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media. The symposium presented research and explored the topic of gender bias when it came to the way the females are presented as characters in film. The message was clear, even with 50% of the world being composed of women, on film, they are vastly underrepresented.
