The 4th visit to the Targa Florio, the Sprite having undergone quite a lot of development work to the engine, gearbox and fully independent suspension. A new front end had also been made and the roof had been removed, Lancia Barchetta 'style'
This was another Porsche dominated race, with the 908/2 taking the first 4 places.
