On May 20th, 1977, three 14-year-old boys witnessed a UFO and three faceless, smoky black entities near West Pittsburg, California. After seeing strange red lights and a craft demonstrating extraordinary speed, they encountered 5'6" to 6' tall beings that appeared to follow them. The case was deemed one of three credible Close Encounters of the Third Kind in the US that year, investigated by multiple UFO researchers who found the boys' separate accounts notably consistent, though no physical evidence was discovered.
