University of Maryland undergraduate English major Michelle Sauer describes her research experience and interactions with English Professor Zita Nunes and subject librarian Patricia Herron, which contributed to the success of her final research paper. Her paper, "The Liminality of Irene Redfield: A Reading of Ambiguous Identity in Nella Larsen’s Passing," won the University Libraries’ Undergraduate Research Award in 2016.
