(18 Nov 2021) Britain's Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, on Thursday visited the Al-Azhar Mosque in Egypt's capital.
The mosque in Cairo is the oldest Sunni institution in the Muslim world.
They were accompanied by the mosque's Grand Imam, Ahmed al-Tayeb, the Sunni Muslim world's top religious authority.
Also present was the Archbishop of the Anglican Province of Alexandria, Samy Fawzy.
The visit is part of the royal couple's first overseas tour since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
