In this video, I'll show you how to make a crossbow with reverse shoulders from sheet reinforcement from a car at home. I made the shoulders for the crossbow from a leaf spring from a car. I cut it in half and welded them on. The basis for fastening the shoulders was made of a thick aluminum plate, which are twisted together through aluminum corners. Everything is held on by bolts. Then I started making crossbow rollers. I made them from thick laminated plywood. I cut out round blanks with a crown on a tree, and using a drill I made cuts for a bowstring. For reliability, two bearings were installed in the blocks. The blocks that turned out to the shoulders are also attached to small bolts, no welding. I made the trigger mechanism with a proven method, there is a video on the channel how I did them. I also made the guide for the crossbow and the guide for the arrows from an aluminum profile and corners. Connecting them with rivets. The stirrup for the crossbow was bent from a thin tube from an old bicycle. It turned out easy and reliable. The bowstring was made of a metal cable, the edges of which were unraveled and braided into loops. The crossbow turned out to be very powerful and it is very difficult to load it with your hands. I had to make a loading mechanism. That's it. Crossbow ready.
