UWM is proud of its Division I athletics program. Milwaukee Panther Athletics is led by Athletics Director Amanda Braun, who was named the Under Armour Athletics Director of the Year in 2020. Coach Bart Lundy has begun his first year as head coach of UWM's men's basketball team after a successful nine-year run at Queens University in Charlotte, North Carolina. Coach Kyle Rechlicz led UWM's women's basketball team to the Horizon League Championship in 2020-21.
