A relatively rare working occured on this day. Colas 70801 had been based near Derby and was supposed to run an engineers for 3 days but only did 1. It then headed back via Gloucester and picked up 66848 and the pair headed off to Westbury, where they would take seperate ballast trains down to Cardiff that same night. The next day, i saw 70806, 70805 and 66848 all running ballast trains that were about 300 + minutes late leaving Cardiff.
