Doom was the reason I switched from my Amiga 500 to an MS-DOS PC. Stuff like that just didn't exist on my old system. I was invited to a party at a friends house, and when I arrived he showed me and another friend this game, then joined the party. We both ended up playing DOOM until 5 AM and had to walk back home through the snow for an hour, since the public transportations didn't start until 7. Next day I knew I needed DOOM in my life. DOOM 2 is one of the rare games that basically improved upon everything from the game it was the sequel of. In my opinion is the best version to play DOOM and DOOM 2 in 2024, and currently available on STEAM for very little money. Merry Christmas and enjoy!
