Adenoidectomy is a small procedure it generally takes 45 minutes end- end. It is performed under general anesthesia in day case procedure and the adenoids are discovered through an endoscope which is inserted through nose. Adenoids are removed mostly from the nose and mouth. Different techniques and instruments are used to remove an adenoid gland like coblation instrument, microdebriders, suction diathermy and very occasionally laser. The area is packed with gauss to help stop he bleeding.
