As 2023 drew to a close, we explored Java Island in Indonesia, delving into the rich history of Yogyakarta—a city often recognized as the cradle of civilization on Java. Once a powerful seat of influence, Yogyakarta gave rise to the breathtaking temples of Borobudur and Prambanan in the 9th century.
Our journey led us to these awe-inspiring landmarks, and the last night was spent at @amanjiwo, arguably Java's finest restaurant, known for its impressive architecture. Indulging in a delectable Javanese dinner, we also enjoyed the mesmerizing traditional Javanese play, 'Dewi Sri.' Amidst it all, the warmth and friendliness of the locals added an extra layer of charm to our experience, making our 2-day trip to Java truly unforgettable.
