Shizue Fukuda and Mieko Ushijima are both long-term festival volunteers with a passion for origami, or the art of folding paper. Since the Richmond Cherry Blossom Festival first began, they have taught visitors how to create traditional origami figures. This year, they demonstrate how to fold a cherry blossom flower.
