There aren’t many people in the world who have spent more than 100 days totally alone, so I feel that I can really speak into our current lockdown situation with some practical insights. The 3.5 months I spent rowing the Atlantic solo taught me not only how to survive but thrive during a period that, as with Covid, I would never have chosen. I’ve found that the more I adopt those same strategies now I’m on lockdown, the more my work output, mental health, family and remote work colleague relationships are blossoming.
