The Pope has asked for prayers this October for the New Evangelization. He proposes it in the intentions from the Apostulate of Prayer, an initiative that some 50 million people on every continent are following as the month begins.
The general prayer intention is: "for the development and progress of the New Evangelization in nations of Christian roots."
Every month the Pope encourages prayer for a missionary intention.
For the month of October it is: "that the celebration of World Mission Day might be an occasion for renewed missionary commitment."
