Mars hasn't had this much traffic since 2003. Moreover, all three missions were successful, demonstrating that we are gaining more confidence in sending probes to Mars without difficulty. Mars has long been known as a spacecraft-eating ghoul, but maybe it is finally time to end this stereotype: just one of the 15 missions sent to Mars since 2000 has failed completely by failing to leave Earth's orbit.
